On September 20, 21 and 22, Paris Expo hosted for the first time simultaneously Paris Retail Week, EQUIPMAG and SIEC (September 21 and 22).
With the 2022 editions of Paris Retail Week, EQUIPMAG and SIEC now complete, it's time to take stock. In line with the signals sent out by the retail sector, 2022 is indeed the year of consolidation for the biggest event in omnichannel commerce, confirming the dynamic recovery seen since last year.  Over the three days of the event, professionals from across the retail ecosystem were delighted to gather at Porte de Versailles for a program packed with business opportunities, turnkey solutions and conferences.

8 exceptional mentors for Paris Retail Week

Once again, Paris Retail Week relied on 8 renowned mentors and experts to embody the major issues of e-commerce and connected commerce: Bastien Valensi from CABAÏA (Omnichannel Commerce), Antoine Dubois from Groupe ACCOR (Marketing), Grégory Chekroun for Groupe Darty Fnac (Logistics), Rémi-Pierre Lapprend from Maisons du Monde (CSR), Maud Behaghel from Vinted (Marketplaces), Pierre Deweule for Kiabi (New Payments), Alice Hagger from MADE. COM (Agile Customer Journey) and Samir Amellal for Auchan (Data).

The Paris Retail Awards

As every year, the Paris Retail Awards recognize the best e-commerce innovations for each business issue. This year, CEGID (omnichannel commerce), FENTECH (data), GD LOGISTIQUE (logistics), GLS France (marketing), FORTAINE COLLECT (new payments), GK SOFTWARE (agile customer journey), CIRCULARX (CSR) and VYKING ("rookie of the year") were honored.

An exceptional exhibition dedicated to la Samaritaine at Equipmag

During the 3 days of Equipmag, the leading event for professionals in point-of-sale equipment and furnishings, the Samaritaine showcased all the stages of its renovation project. This was an opportunity to learn more about the behind-the-scenes aspects of the project, and the architectural feats that went into making this Parisian retail landmark such a success.

The Sign & Innovation Club:

As part of Equipmag, the Enseigne & Innovation club brought together all retail architecture professionals in a unique 600 sq. m. venue to showcase the latest in retail technology and innovation.

Review of the 17th edition of Siec

On September 21 and 22, the SIEC was held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, for the first time alongside Paris Retail Week and EQUIPMAG, to welcome the European leaders in the commercial real estate and retail sectors. This 17th edition featured a wealth of exceptional speakers and high-quality networking opportunities.

 

Highlights of the two days

The presence of Olivia Grégoire, French Minister for SMEs, Trade, Crafts and Tourism.

At the opening of the SIEC trade show on September 21, the Minister delivered a speech to the entire industry, fully aware of the challenges currently facing it, particularly in terms of the environment.

Presentation of the "Post-Covid: the French and physical commerce" study

The CNCC (Conseil National des Centres Commerciaux) and Quantaflow wanted to explore the relationship between the French and their physical stores after the crisis. This OpinionWay study reveals some key findings, unveiled exclusively for the SIEC.

A high point for retail and commercial real estate players

Also at the SIEC, the CNCC, the main organization representing professionals in the sector, took the opportunity to highlight its new identity, the Fédération des Acteurs du Commerce dans les Territoires.

The Start-up and Pitch pavilion

The Innovation pavilion changes its format and becomes the Start-up and Pitch pavilion, the perfect place for up-and-coming nuggets. Start-ups, retailtech companies and leaders came to present their products and solutions.
